Pakistan Ireland Business Council (PIBC) hosted a farewell lunch on Saturday, 30th October, in honour of Ambassador Ms. Aisha Farooqui, to celebrate her successful tenure in Ireland.
Â
As our Chief Patron, Ms. Farooqui gave new vision and direction to PIBC — strengthening business, trade, and political connections between Pakistan and Ireland. Her support in inviting tech and business delegations from Pakistan and connecting small and large businesses has truly made history.
On behalf of PIBC, we presented her with a special Bog Oak Sculpture titled “River of Connections and Flows,” symbolising the lasting bond between our two countries.
Â
Every member of the council deeply admired the Ambassador’s remarkable contribution and also acknowledged the great support and dedication of Mr. Shahid Iqbal, Head of Mission, for his hard work and assistance throughout his tenure.
Â
Ambassador Aisha Farooqui expressed her appreciation to PIBC members for their collaboration in building strong business ties.
Â
We were also honoured by the presence of Barry Ward TD, who appreciated the efforts of PIBC and expressed his commitment to continue working together to strengthen Pakistan–Ireland relations.
Â
We wish Ms. Aisha Farooqui the very best in her new posting in Lisbon and look forward to continuing this journey of connection and friendship.
