Pakistan Ireland Business Council Annual Dinner

The countdown is on – The Pakistan Ireland Business Council’s Annual Dinner 2025! A heartfelt thank you to everyone who has booked, as we are now officially sold out. If you’ve purchased a ticket but can no longer attend, please let us know as soon as possible, as we have a waiting list eager to join this exciting event. We appreciate your support and look forward to a fantastic evening together!

We are thrilled to welcome our special guest, Fianna Fáil TD for Dublin West, Jack Chambers, Ireland’s Minister for Finance and Deputy Leader of Fianna Fáil. The evening will also feature special entertainment from A Night at the Opera, ensuring a memorable and enchanting experience.

Please note that the dress code for the event is black tie. This traditionally includes tuxedos or formal suits for gentlemen and elegant midi or floor-length dresses for ladies. We kindly ask all attendees to adhere to this dress code to ensure a sophisticated and memorable evening.

The dinner will take place on Friday, January 31st, 2025, at the prestigious Stephens Green Club, 9 St Stephen’s Green, Dublin, D02 C891. It’s a wonderful opportunity to network and catch up with friends.

Special Guest – Margaret Considine

Margaret Considine is the President of Chambers Ireland and the CEO and Founder of EQuita Consulting Ltd. She previously served as President of the South Dublin Chamber from 2017 to 2020. In 2021, she was recognized as the ‘Thought Leader of the Year’ by the All-Ireland Business Foundation. Margaret is also the President of the Mediators’ Institute of Ireland and has been appointed by the Department of Public Expenditure and Reform to the Independent Body on additional working hours for public servants.

H.E. Aisha Farooqui, Ambassador of Pakistan to Ireland.

H.E. Aisha Farooqui, Ambassador of Pakistan to Ireland, serves as the Chief Patronage of the Pakistan Ireland Business Council (PIBC), offering her unwavering support to the organization. Since November 2022, she has held the esteemed position of Ambassador, bringing with her over two decades of distinguished experience in the Pakistan Foreign Service. Throughout her career, Ambassador Farooqui has served in various key capitals worldwide and contributed to policymaking at critical political desks within the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Islamabad. Her expertise and leadership continue to strengthen the ties between Pakistan and Ireland.

Irfan Hameed – President of PIBC

Irfan Hameed is the President and co-founder of the Pakistan Ireland Business Council (PIBC). As an entrepreneur and CEO of Intax, he celebrates 10 years of successful business growth. Irfan specializes in business setup, taxation, and digital asset management. With over 20 years of experience, Irfan is recognized as an authority on international business and financing. He frequently travels globally, speaking at expos and conferences, while maintaining a reputation for professionalism, integrity, and innovation in an ever-evolving business landscape.

Ronan Twohig – Chairperson

Ronan is the Chairperson of the Pakistan Ireland Business Council (PIBC) and has been with the organization since its inception. A seasoned businessman and networker, Ronan brings extensive experience across banking, financial services, and distribution. His leadership and expertise have been invaluable to PIBC’s growth. In addition to his role with PIBC, Ronan currently serves on the board of the County Kildare Chamber, further strengthening his commitment to fostering business connections and growth in the community. Ronan is presently Chairman of H.T.H Accountants and Business Advisors in Maynooth, Co. Kildare

MC on the night – Angela Canavan

Angela is the Council Co-Ordinator of the Pakistan Ireland Business Council (PIBC). She is an entrepreneur,  founder, and owner of Canavan Byrne Management & Training Solutions and CB Associates, with extensive expertise in HR, management, and training. Angela specializes in supporting SMEs, NGOs, community, voluntary, and not-for-profit sectors, as well as the Early Years Sector.

She has been recognised as a Thought Leader in compliance for the Early Years Sector by AIBF for four consecutive years and was awarded Network Dublin’s Business Woman of the Year in 2016 and 2018.

Entertainment - A Night at the Opera

David Corr

David is a Royal Conservatoire of Scotland graduate, is a celebrated Irish vocalist renowned for his versatility in opera, oratorio, and Irish and English song. He has performed at prestigious venues like Wigmore Hall and Berlin’s opera houses. Career highlights include the Deborah Voigt Opera Prize, Nobody/Somebody with Northern Ireland Opera, and Die Zauberflöte in Berlin. Recipient of the Irish Heritage Brackaville Bursary, David has an exciting future with roles including The Flying Dutchman with Irish National Opera.

Amie Dyer

Amy is an Irish soprano from Drogheda, Co. Louth, is a graduate of the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, where she earned a Master’s in vocal performance. After an exciting year-and-a-half opera contract in Austria, she returned home, releasing her debut single, Silent Night, now streaming on Spotify, Apple Music, and more. Active in Drogheda’s music scene, Amie performs regularly at local concerts and looks forward to continuing her journey, captivating audiences both locally and internationally with her artistry.

The Annual Dinner will be a special occasion to celebrate PIBC’s exciting journey and achievements. We look forward to welcoming you all for a memorable evening.
