Meeting Between PIBC & APBF

This is an overview of a meeting that was recently held between key stakeholders and functionaries of the Pakistan Ireland Business Council (PIBC) and All Pakistan Business Forum( APBF).

MEETING OVERVIEW

APBF stakeholders were briefed on the recent establishment of PIBC, its aims and objectives, and medium-term strategy to up-scale it.

Ambassador Shuja told the participants of the Government’s focus on Economic Diplomacy and invited the APBF to establish greater linkages with PIBC.

Mr. Hameed gave an overview of the business landscape in Ireland and of the opportunities that exist in building meaningful linkages with Irish importers of Pakistani products.

Mr. Nousherwani briefed the stakeholders on recent progress made in establishing linkages in the IT sector with Ireland.

The President of APBF shared the long history of international collaboration of APBF with Business Councils around the world. He congratulated Ambassador Shuja and Mr. Hameed on the establishment of PIBC and termed it an important milestone in establishing greater trade linkages between Ireland and Pakistan.

He further expressed the full support of his organization for PIBC in terms of supporting business enquiries, connecting with the right suppliers, and organizing B2B meetings.

Both sides resolved to continue their engagement with a view to strengthening Pakistan-Ireland business and trade relations in the times ahead.
